Thunder Stricken Soldiers Admitted to HospitalPOLONNARUWA: A GROUP OF SOLDIERS who were attending their physical training session were stricken by lighting and thunder on Tuesday (01) evening at about 5.00 p.m. in KATUKELIYAWA training area in POLONNARUWA.     Sixty-three soldiers of the two platoons including their instructors were rushed to POLONNARUWA hospital for medical treatment.

Lightening kills three, injures 63   
At least three soldiers attached to the Katukeliya Army Camp in Polonnaruwa were killed and a further 63 were injured when lightning struck them this evening, the Polonnaruwa police said.
